Festival of Folk Sports at the University. P.F. Lesgaft united youth of different nationalities

In the arena of NSU to them. P.F. Lesgft, the first festival of folk sports and TRP – a sports day of schoolchildren was held.

The project is the winner of the St. Petersburg citywide competition of student social projects of students of higher educational institutions of St. Petersburg, organized by the Social Policy Committee of St. Petersburg (St. Petersburg State University Center for International Humanitarian Relations).

The competition was held in 5 nominations: social work, prevention and protection of the health of citizens, propaganda of a healthy lifestyle and the organization of sports and fitness actions, promoting the spiritual development of personality and patriotic education, education and culture. Applications from students could be both individual and collective. The competition was attended by students of 21 university in St. Petersburg, 43 applications were submitted, 154 students participated. 10 student social projects won (2 each in each nomination).

The festival is aimed at promoting mass physical culture, preserving and developing the traditions of national sports, involving all groups of the population in regular physical education classes and assistance to schoolchildren in preparing the norms of the VFSK TRP.

The program of the festival included competitions of school teams of the districts of St. Petersburg, which includes children of different nationalities from families of unprotected segments of the population. At 6 stations of the festival, schoolchildren were able to measure their strength in the game “Tuim ALU”, and the Azerbaijani game “Dire Doima”, tried themselves in the surrender of the NFSK “TRP”, checkers, darts. Outside the competition was a team of sports veterans of the Admiralty district

All guests and participants of the festival visited the national holiday, which was prepared by creative groups of the House of Nationalities and Diaspar of St. Petersburg. The festival was fully prepared by students of the departments of Tim folk and national sports and Tim of mass physical education and recreational work and tourism NSU named after P.F. Zhelegft.
