“They discuss pink shirts, a non -existent conflict with Kovarzh … And they bother me as a coach!” -Andrei Razin said displeasedly in the “conversation on Fridays” in the spring of 2017.

Of course, he gave reasons to write about scandals, but we must admit: they hardly spoke about hockey.

And in vain. The Razinsky “motorist”, with very modest possibilities, not only jumped above the ceiling, but was also incredibly stylish (albeit unstable). Now in Cherepovets, the Razin team will fermently chopped behind the playoffs (and prepares to play there for the first time in three years), and we will constantly recognize new names-for example, Nikita Guslastov, who made a hat-trick at the age of 18.

Working with children: what hockey Slovakia overtook Russia

– You started a coaching career at the CSKA school. Now, after several years in the KHL, can you name the most valuable skill received during the time of work with children?

– First of all, communication with parents. Stressful situations when you need to tell them about hockey, about his basics when they think that their child is the best. Although, perhaps, it is, but still to teach and teach him, but they do not understand this. You learn not to pay attention to some rumors, not to succumb to intrigues, you gain stress resistance-this is a great life experience. A children's coach is a very difficult profession, and not everyone is given to endure. Without the support of the leadership, the children's coach is very difficult.

You also get pedagogical skills, of course, because you pay a lot of attention to the children. Here I am like a fish in water, it was easy for me, I gained experience on how to properly and consistently build a training process with children. But the parents were in a novelty with his parents.

– You did not work out in Slovakia in the junior team Nitra. Is there a significant difference with Russia in the methodology or infrastructure?

-I worked with the Center region for two more years-there are 14-16-year-old teenagers. Then in Slovakia-with 16-18-year-olds. Also experience, learned a new language. Another communication, another culture – in terms of psychology, knowledge was added.

In Slovakia, parents did not go into the training process. This is primarily due to the legislation – there parents are especially fenced from the coach.So that dad or mom approaches him and say “Let me pay you so much, and my son will play in the fourth five”, this will not even occur to them. The coach will turn to the police – and they can put a person. So a priori parent will not work. And in my children's hockey it was.

– That is, in Slovakia this is a criminal offense?

– Well, yes. I believe that this is a crime.

-One of your pupils from CSKA or Nitra is now in sight? Teams, KHL, stars in Euroleagues?

– In Slovakia there was a hockey player by the name of Shishka. He even played in Slovan, but was lost from sight. At sixteen, he was a cut above all, stood out very much, but now I can’t hear about him. Probably, he did not overcome the turn of the transition from children's hockey to adult (Yurai Shishka is now playing in Nitre, this season he has 8 points in 33 matches – Sports.ru).

We have such an example – this is Kirill Kabanov. He took the puck and could beat the whole five twice. But children and adult hockey are different sports. I found it when I worked in the Center region, and we took part in the championship of federal districts. This is one of the strongest tournaments, earlier teams of three ages participated in it-now only 16-year-olds remained. And this is a great tournament, the strongest guys are collected from six regions.

– And with the famous dad Kabanov did not intersect?

– Personally – no. Although he noticed him on the rostrum when he screamed.

Taken: Work in the style of Belousov and trips as a test

– The conditional quarter or Nikolishin became the main in the KHL almost immediately after the end of his career, and you went a long way. Has it somehow helped you?

– My experience of the children's coach does not help in adult hockey. There are special specifics here, other qualities are needed. A children's coach is a different profession. I don’t think that people who have reached great heights in hockey do not know all the nuances when working with an adult team.

Someone can convey their thoughts to the hockey player, someone knows and feels how to conduct a training process, and someone is psychologically unstable or he does not have enough knowledge and skills. The coach of an adult team should be an authority for men, and a children's coach is like the second dad for children.

– You talked about the fact that at the beginning of the coaching career, Belousov imitated 80%. Can you bring any specific cases?

– I took a lot from the training process – and not that I directly imitated Belousov, I do not look like him. Valery Konstantinovich was always an authority for me, he made me as a hockey player, played a big role in my career. I believe that his training process was correct, I still adhere to many of his things in pre-season training, but I modernized some moments.

For example, crosses. Belousov had very few of them. Now I generally refused them, but I was encouraged by the Belousov’s attitude towards the preseason.Although the crosses were my skate, I have always been one of the first to resort, but now I think that they can be replaced with something else.

– You worked with many famous coaches. What did Belousov do special, why did they decide to imitate him?

-It seems to me that he looked at the team and adapted to it, and did not take a notebook with records of past years to check what he did in such and such a year, after which he worked according to these canons. I believe that he studied every day, and I also took it, as it seems to me. We never had the same preseason-every year something changed, added, reduced. I really liked one preseason, and now I use a lot of it.

-Is VHL a developmental league or is there any more survival school?

– Both that and that. Of course, the VHL is already closer to adult hockey, there are men there. The only significant difference is in skill. The technique of receiving programs, decision -making time is worse with this than in the KHL.

Plus, of course, logistics. The fact that I went there when you drive a bus from Kondopoga to Izhevsk for 32 hours. Or from Krasnodar, we drove on a train once for four hours – the snow fell, the bus could not come. Only on deer did not ride, probably.

When you get on the bus after the game and drive 10-12 hours-this is chocolate, mainly from 16 to 20 hours. This is very difficult, and the recovery process is very important. Everything is easier in the KHL.

– Andrei Martemyanov told me that in the tower players after several good games consider themselves players. How difficult is the players in the VHL?

– I worked for only two years – and neither in Saratov nor in Izhevsk the players had a star disease. The guys sought to get higher. The main incentive for working in these teams was to convey that they could play better, and their level is a KHL, not a tower. They did not lose their heads after a couple of successful games.

Although the older guys just wanted to earn more, the KHL incentive no longer acted on them, they had to talk more with them. However, the same Chesalin, whom I pulled out of Penza at the age of 28, proves that at this age you can turn into a solid KHL player.

– In addition to him, from the tower you took many players who now opened well in the KHL – Timashov, turbine. There is no feeling that the players of the VHL are very underestimated?

– It depends on the team and its tasks. If I worked in SKA or CSKA, I did not think about players from the tower. And the “motorist” of that period or “Severstal” now – why not, why not take hungry guys. In addition to those that you mentioned, I can name Andrei Alekseev, Torchenyuk, this season Adamchuk, whom I really wanted to see in Yekaterinburg. For example, Chibisov – he played the VHL at that time, I also wanted to pick him up at the Avtomobilist, but he went to Kazan. Please, you can get into the top club from the Premier League.

Game style: we are talking about the importance of positions and the main indicators of statistics

– Before your appointment to Yekaterinburg, you said that you want to stage total hockey. How can you describe your understanding of this term?

– And this is how we play at Severstal now. Then the word total was fashionable, probably now they have moved away from it. However, I want the team to play fast hockey, spend more time in a foreign zone, control the puck more, improvise in attack. All the ideas that I implemented in Avtomobilist are now trying to apply in Cherepovets.

– Did someone in the 21st century play in such a way as to fit your definition? KHL, NHL, teams?

– I like the way CSKA plays. I have always said that Igor Nikitin is a good specialist. Of course, his selection of performers is a little different, but the hockey that he wants to see – it seems to me that I have not gone far.

– And Belousov's silver Tractor?

– Yes, hockey was different, it changes a lot. Now, if you take the years when I played, this is a completely different kind with different rules. Throw-ins, shifts – how much faster everything has become. Hockey is moving forward.

– You have oversized teams – in the Kodola link there is no one above 180, for example, in Avtomobilist, the top three were not high. Were you not afraid that all this beauty would simply be smeared on the sides?

– No, no. Again, hockey has changed. Defenders, for example, used to be valued large, which were simply removed from the penny. Now the rules are different – you can use a nimble hockey player well, and overall. The main thing for a coach is to find the right role and the right partners who will complement his good qualities.

– But it turns out that small players fit your schemes better?

– There is a certain market of hockey players. Take big and slow or small and fast – I do not look at these qualities. If he is a striker, I look at the scoring instinct. If he is the center – on game thinking. If the defender, then all the qualities – and the beginning of the attack, and selection. I have the first two pairs now, Provolnev – Wittasmyaki and Adamchuk – Lalonde, hockey players are quite taller than average (191-186 and 190-185 – Sports.ru).

In Avtomobilist Tryamkin played two meters, but they used it correctly. Vasilevsky was traded from the major leagues, also rather big (180/93). Megalinskiy, far from skinny (191/107), also played well. I have no priority, small or big – whoever knows how and wants to play will play.

– Let's remember your famous locker room audio. There was an interesting moment for our topic: “We are translating attacks. Except for 3-in-2 or 2-in-1, we translate all attacks into positional ones.

“The people who posted this on the Internet tried to harm me. And I think, on the contrary, they helped. There are screams and yells, but the task of the game for the second period is constructively given, the game in which has its own specifics. Depending on the score, you can build a game plan, so here was such a task.

With the right shifts, we can impose links and knock out a whole five from the period.After 3-4 minutes of a continuous quick game, muscles are acidified, and the player is restored for a very long time. So I watched the last game of the “motorist” with the “Vanguard” – when Yelimkin and Vasilevsky in the second period, as it seemed, could not change about four minutes. Nikita, it seems, was already ready to become Karachi on the heel.

This, I repeat, is the specifics of the game in the second period (the distant bench complicates the process of changing players-Sports.ru)-and sometimes the task is given to sacrifice in order to load some couple of defenders.

– Last year, a local dispute occurred in the press in the press – what to consider a positional attack. Can you give your definition?

– The positional attack implies the possession of the puck in the opponent zone.

– And if the team is just He carries a puck around the perimeter without exacerbation, can this also be called a position?

– Naturally. Again – if five minutes before the end we win 1: 0, then it is better to take the puck in someone else's zone without shots, but not lose control, and kill this time to bring to victory. And if you throw it on the goal, then you can miss, the puck will fly away by rounding, creating a counterattack that will lead to the blue into our gates. This is a specificity that fans can sometimes not know about.

– To finish the theme of the position: sometimes it seems that the attackers both in Severstal and the motorist are trying to play perfectly – when you can already abandon, they still make a couple of extra programs.

“But I can’t get into the head of a hockey player.” I can’t make him in a specific situation instead of the transfer to make a throw, and in another – instead of a throw, give a pass. Naturally, he himself makes this decision, and I, as a coach, sometimes infuriates the adoption of these decisions. Everything is in the power of a hockey player. One of the coaches for a hockey player can be an account on the scoreboard – so we can give the task not to leave, or more specifically – do not throw from the side on goal.

– “Severstal” spends a lot of time in someone else's zone, but does not throw a lot.

– Why? We throw a lot – it seems to me that rivals are blocking a lot. We rarely win in blocks. This is due to the fact that we own a lot of puck, we are more positively attacked, more throws the opponent is forced to block. But there is no such thing that I force the players to give the program once again. I always say that the attack should end and begin with a throw. This is a law.

– Speaking of statistics: what are the most important indicators for you?

– For example, what is the throwing? This is a struggle for a neutral puck. There are much more such game situations in the game than throwings. If a person wins less than 50% of neutral goals, this goes to minus. The number of losses for me is also of great importance – this is the same throwing, only more important. When a person often loses the puck at the entrance to the zone, which leads to a counterattack, it is even worse than losing an throwing in a neutral zone.Because everyone runs on the attack, a person loses the puck, and the wave immediately rolls in the opposite direction.

The best (at that time) season of the Avtomobilist: how to squeeze the maximum of players and close the best three KHL three

-In the 2015/16 season, almost all the players of the “Motorist” had either the best season in his career, or the best over many years. How did you squeeze this maximum from them? System, motivation, conversation or integrated work?

– So, I'm a good coach (laughs). Yes, here is a set of what you listed, I can’t name any specific reasons. After the motorist of the association with a coaching career, I had very, very not very good. For a long time I could not find a job, and with such a train that the media was attached to me, it was very difficult to get a job. Now I am glad that they looked at me from the other side, and on Instagram I can boast of my achievements. Let it not be a Gagarin Cup, but I think that I revealed many guys.

– A concrete example is shaking. In the spring of 2015, he was the eighth defender, played seven minutes in the decisive play of playoffs, the fans were already waiting for him in the farm in the fall. A year later, he left for the NHL. How?

– It all starts on the preseason – proper preparation, in a good functional condition he went to the season. But I remember that after several games they went in the first place, and Yelimkin had “-5”. And at one meeting he asked him: “Nikita, how did you manage to get“ -5 ”in our position?

A hockey player can sometimes be ruined simply distrust. Our coaching staff saw in it the potential, trusted, despite the negative indicator of utility, we gave him playing time, gave a chance. He played, was mistaken sometimes, but grew up.

– Another example is Alexey Simakov. He was already 36, but he spent a chic season. How to work with veterans?

– Here again – and you now said that it is easier for me to work with the small. And they already write that they are better with young people, they even offer the youth team. But I like to work with everyone, normal relations are formed with any players. Yes, for someone I can be good, but for someone bad-work with people implies this.

We found a common language with Alexei, I trusted him. In the majority, he played a lot, and I remember one moment when he went out in place of the defender. If you trust a person, and he succeeds, he will say that you are a good coach. If you don’t trust, then the hockey player, together with the agent, usually think that this coach is to blame, that he has no rushing. Very rarely players turn their finger over themselves. The coach must see this player, talk to him personally and convey that everything is done through work.

I give my example. At 16, I got into an adult team, and spent the preseason in the first four fives only at 24 years old. In 27 I got into the team [at the World Cup] and in the draft. I tell the guys and say this: work – and everything will be like mine. Let me not reach some superbly, but I still left a certain trace in hockey.

-In the playoffs Avtogostil lost to Magnitogorsk, but the Kovarzh link practically closed. Why did their link become special? Not always three extracts form a good three.

– I will not open America if I say that they complement each other. Mozyakin – both the opener and the final final. Zaripov is a man with an intelligence of a professor who may seem to be opened not where necessary, but it is there that the puck comes there, and he scores from the half -monthly, gives it. Kovarzh – is simply unique in the play on the heel. He, like Dennis Rodman in Chicago – when Jordan and Pippen missed, Rodman picked up. On a heel to score, finish off, to cram the blood, to win, to win is Jan Kovarzh. All three are players, complemented each other.

Their defenders were good, without which the puzzle would not have developed. Lee and Vitya Antipin – two -core, do a large amount of work. If Mozyakin and Zaripova would force the volume of the draft work that the defenders and Kovarzh did, they would not be so effective in the attack, they would have no strength left.

– The fact that you yourself played in the team with Mozyakin, how much helped neutralize it?

– Mozyakin changed a little worldview in hockey. Before that, I always brought shells, and when I played with Sergey, I myself participated in the end of the attacks. Sergey could make any tank at any distance, play somehow non-standard. We did it – it’s a pity that we played a little together. We were not always put in the same three. But that season I left a good feeling from hockey, enjoyed playing with Mozyakin.

Disassembly Severstal: the answer to the blogger of the stands and praise of arrogance

– The preseason this year turned out to be unique for known reasons. What was the most difficult?

– All plans flew. The very first week – started on Monday, on Friday there was one bell, on Saturday two or three, and the next Monday, almost half of the team had already got down. Naturally, I had to change all the plans. But I believe that our team is in a good functional state, despite all the difficulties, and they were big in our country.

Two mass jumps – one happened on the preseason, the second during the championship, there the coaches were sick there. Plus, then still individual cases. I believe that we have passed this with dignity, given the calendar.

We ourselves only once played with Amur when the opponent had big problems. All the rest – I do not remember that the truncated enemy’s truncated composition came out against us. Outstream is perhaps the Barys, which has just left the quarantine. In this regard, we were not lucky – or, perhaps, just lucky.

– You generally have a tough preseason – and you also use legendary cylinders. Without such summer, you can not put high -speed hockey?

– I have cylinders not only on the preseason, they are during the season. They are just not the same as Krikunov’s – even in size, not to mention the loads that I give and which Vladimir Vasilievich gives.We have different methods, although training is called balloon, but they are very different.

– We will dwell on the progress of individual players again. If Vovchenko, Kodolu, Geraskina more or less knew the fans, then the take-off of Petunin turned out to be amazing. Again – how?

– Yes, and about Kodol, when I came, few knew, and Vovchenko shot one season. After my appointment, Daniil could not score the first goal for a very long time, and it was not easy with him – he was already considered a local star, let's say. And finding a common language with him was more difficult than with Geraskin or Kudako – they took me right away. However, we have a good relationship with Daniel.

And Petunin – here as with Mozyakin, Kovarget and Zaripov. We found a combination of Vovchenko – Kodol – Petunin. All of them with very good intellect, game thinking, complement each other. In fact, this is the only three that plays from the preseason, and it can be called the host, although it comes out mainly.

– Recently, the tribune blogger disassembled your team – and made a complaint about the game after throwing: 9 goals were missed immediately after them. Can you, for example, comment on this goal in your goal?

– Well, yes, Alekseev lost the throwing, ran there, and three opponents left against one Adamchuk left on the heel. Maybe the statistics are not lying, but I do not have a Kadeikin, who has 60 percent of the names won, and I can’t put him in the minority so that he would win the throwing, and then he came out a fresh player and defended him.

At the moment, I have more or less for the throwings of Nutinen. Naturally, when we lose 60-70%at the point, the likelihood that we will miss the goal is increasing. In this I do not see any shortcomings of the headquarters. We are working on throwings, but, unfortunately, statistics indicate that the central attackers at the point are not top -end.

– Your words from last year: It is a pity to hear about Severstal such epithets as impudent and fast. What would you like to hear?

– Fast and stable. Either fast and winning, or even stably winning. Or playing in high -speed hockey. And impudent. A daring person is the one who rude and ran away. And the arrogant – who rude, crashed and left the winner. It would be better to call arrogant and fast.

– You are in the club now both the coach and the general manager. Simplified, how do you divide time into these roles in percentage?

– At the moment, it takes me to the genmithing. Don't know. A little less than on Instagram. The selection work has already ended, we must think about the next season. True, my contract ends on April 30.

My responsibilities include the formation of the composition. Not everything depends on me – I am one of the, but my word is more. I have already said – the general manager is needed, but not in order to climb into the training process or the formation of the composition for the game.He can give a look from above, valuable tips, some kind of vision of the situation to the coach. At a particular point in time, the coach may not agree, but then he will remember and use this advice. This is not enough.

I said that the general manager should be an authoritative person, but did not say that such a position is not needed. Everyone should swim in one boat. When in Ufa Zakharkin and Weissfeld fought, did the team won in this situation? The team will be nervous, seeing this.

Motivation: how the screen replaced pink shirts

-It seems that you did not like it when you were called a coach-moderner. But you must admit: motivation plays a very important role.

– Because I was unhappy that they focused on this. Those speeches that are pulled out of the locker room, they meant that I was always so and everywhere – on installations, in breaks. And this is far from the case. It is understood that I motivate pink shirts and magic podzhoptors. But you can motivate differently. This year I raised premium, and very strongly. Now I do not need pink shirts, because hockey players see the money that they can get.

– Alexander Torchenyuk said that before the most important match with Neftekhimik, you simply turned on the then fashionable “Labuten”. What other unusual method do you remember?

– It all depends on the situation. This season we somehow had four victories in a row, and in the fifth before the break we beat Torpedo 3-0. And before that game on the screen, the phrase simply displayed: In case of victory, you will not have three days of weekends, but four. With translation into English. This was very pleased with foreigners. Everything, no more installation is needed.

– Once, even in Auto, you and the assistants made a motivational video, even the audience was shown to the audience in Cuba. Would you repeat such an experience?

– I do not see the point yet. At that time there was a meaning. And now I am making videos on Instagram (laughs).

Epilogue: about words that would not be better

– If you had the opportunity to forever erase one of your scandalous statements, what would you refuse?

-A press conference after the Motorist-“Ugra” match. Although I directly prepared speech because I was very offensive. Still, at that time, the result of the motorist was the best in the KHL. Given that I accepted the team in May, and there were only six players in the contract. We formed that team from what was, and showed the best result in the history of Auto, the best result in the playoffs. In addition to CSKA, in that Gagarin Cup, the champion “Magnitka” and I played the best.

The next year, all this was crap. It was a little offensive, all this on emotions, and now I am very sorry about what I said. It was not necessary. I believe that I worked normally for Yekaterinburg. Now the team has a completely different sponsor, completely different conditions. I think that I had a hand to this – that season of very many fans towards the motorist turned.Maybe the UMMC.
