“Partizans” was founded on October 4, 1945 as a football section of the Partisan YuSO and was named after the Yugoslav partisans, military communist education, which fought during the Second World War. The next day, a friendly match was held against the national team of Serbia, in which Partizan won the first victory in its history with a score of 4-2. In the same year, the first international match “Partizan” was held with the Moscow “Army”, then called the CDA. The club was formed and originally managed by a group of senior officers of the People's Liberation Army of Yugoslavia. Among them were Svetozar Vukmanovich, Ratko Vuyovich and Kocha Popovich. The first head coach of the team was Croatian Frano Glaere, who combined his position with a game at the gates of Partizan.

Already in the 1946/47 season, Partizan won its first title of the Yugoslavia champion. The second championship title followed in 1949. Until that time, Partizan played his home matches at the old BSK stadium, when its stadium was built in the same place and was called the Yuna stadium. In 1950, the club developed from the football section of the army to an independent club under the auspices of the Yugoslav Sports Society Partizan. The first president of the club was Ratko Vuyovich. In 1953, the remaining formal ties between the “partisan” and the army broke up.
