Everyone understands that school classes alone are not enough for the comprehensive development of the individual, therefore, there are many institutions of additional education in Serov in various directions. In this issue we will start a series of materials about associations, circles and sections of the Edelweiss Center. We will find out what life is in full swing in children's clubs, what is interesting there. And let's say right away what is the beauty – that the classes are absolutely free and take place in the evening.

Club Youth, one of the largest in Edelweiss. There are creative and sports clubs. There are associations: Art Studio – as the name implies, the focus of classes is artistic, conducted by Maria Semyachkova from 17.00 to 18.00, Masterilki – applied art, with their own hands the guys create literally masterpieces together with Larisa Pavlova from 16.00 to 17.00, Vivat, talent ! – theatrical orientation – everyone can feel like a real artist. How? Ekaterina Shutova will show from 18.00 to 19.00, Edelweiss-MEDIA – young correspondents work here, they create a newspaper and video news together with Anna Bikmullina, there is also a table tennis section, led by Andrey Burkov from 16.00 to 20.00.

– If the guys want to relax after a busy school day, spend time with benefit, plunge into the atmosphere of creativity, chat with friends – you are welcome to us, – Ekaterina Shutova, the teacher-organizer, affably invites. – Our club also holds Cozy Gatherings and holiday programs for the elderly. We cooperate with the Comprehensive Center for Social Services for the Population, the Combat Brotherhood club, city schools and an orphanage school.

The club employs teachers who can no longer imagine their life without children. The guys who have been coming to the club for many years consider Yunost to be their second home, and the teachers to be their friends. Pupils of the club participate in contests and competitions of various levels, so everyone who went or goes to Youth has a rich portfolio.

– In addition, we create holidays, take into account age characteristics, give unforgettable emotions and impressions, keep up with the times! – said Natalya Smirnova, head of the club. – When you come to us, you find yourself in a large educational and play space! To the world of beauty, games, fairy tales, music, drawing, fantasy and creativity, to a friendly atmosphere, where every teacher is a professional in his field, loving children and his work. In our club the child feels support, understanding and love. For us, every child is an individual, with their own abilities, ideas, interests, desires and emotions.

Not far from Yunost, on Zaslavsky Street, 23, there is a club Carat.

If anyone does not know about the existence of yard clubs, then they definitely heard about Karate. The Karat Club is a unique structural subdivision of the Edelweiss Center, as the spirit of the samurai hovers here, Japanese etiquette reigns, the club is saturated with an atmosphere of kindness and mutual understanding, all employees respect the pupils, motivate them to new achievements and encourage them. The main direction of the club is the promotion and development of such a wonderful type of martial arts as Kyokushin karate. Trained by experienced teachers: Gennady Gishivarov, Rustam Galiakhmetov, Karen Gishivarov and Kristina Khudyakova. All of them have repeatedly improved their skills at national and international training camps. Everyone has considerable experience and an individual approach to the training process. Also in the club Karat there are amateur associations Galatea and Kvazar under the guidance of teachers-organizers Lyudmila Gishivarova and Karen Gishivarov.

Children from 6.5 to 18 years old will find something to their liking here. Despite the fact that Karat is associated mainly with sports, there are many creative activities here: Kyokushin karate in the Young Fighter group: the guys participate in tournaments and training camps at the city, regional, all-Russian and international levels; classes in a theater studio and a recording studio (rap culture); teaching the basics of photo and video filming, aesthetic development; costume events, photo shoots; arts and crafts – tailoring costumes, creating unique images; participation in intellectual competitions and literary drawing rooms; patriotic education; fun exciting preventive measures to preserve health and introduce a healthy lifestyle, as well as help and creative support for pupils in all-Russian and international competitions.

– In the 2019-2020 academic year, our children became winners of regional championships, twice participated in training camps, athletes took part not only in sports battles, but also clearly showed themselves in creative and intellectual competitions, which indicates the comprehensive development of the child's personality in Club Karat – said Lyudmila Gishivarova.

Over the past academic year, teachers who develop the creative direction in the club have done a tremendous job of holding unforgettable competitions, intellectual and literary evenings.

– The main thing is that a close-knit, friendly team of teachers works in the club, united by a common idea – The success of our work is in the unity of creativity and sports!, – emphasizes Gennady Gishivarov. – It is important that teachers establish strong cooperation with parents, who are not only helpers and good friends, but also regulars at all club events. If you are interested in the details, please call 7-30-59, we will answer all your questions!

There is another club on Zaslavsky Street at 34 – Horizon.

Did you know that only here (among all the Edelweiss clubs) you can practice sand animation? This association is led by Angela Foteeva.

– Sand painting is a new simple type of visual activity available to almost every child, – Anzhela Kharlampievna told us. – Sand drawing is necessary for the development of fine motor skills of the hands. It's good for older kids too. Experts note that children who are engaged in sand animation have improved academic performance, because such activities stimulate thought processes, the development of speech, logical and figurative thinking.

City of Dance – this is the name of another association in the Horizon club, which is led by Irina Ponomareva. Children give concerts to veterans, show theatrical performances, and also participate in various competitions.

Circle Gift – one of the richest in ideas and their implementation. Hosted by Irina Korchagina. She uses different techniques in her work and, together with children, creates amazing crafts that can be of practical use or serve as decoration. Children's works have repeatedly won first places at competitions of various levels.

There is also a place for sports in Horizont. Evgeny Ushakov trains young sambo wrestlers in the Path to Success section, and Pavel Ushakov leads the General Physical Training section. Both coaches instill in the children an interest in sports, physical exercises, and use an individual approach.

Next time we will introduce you to other clubs of the Edelweiss Center.
