Where to rent an apartment in Krasnaya Polyana – an oasis of silence Katerina Alpik

Katerina Alpik is a fairly large complex of residential buildings in the valley of the Mzymta River on the outskirts of Krasnaya Polyana. The location is very convenient due to the fact that the center of Krasnaya Polyana is a minute drive (or 5 on foot). And if you need to go to Rosa Khutor or Estosadok, they are also nearby. And here all the traffic flies behind the main fence of the complex, and as soon as you turn into the gate, peace and quiet sets in.

The territory is huge, the apartments are owned by both individuals and large companies, and I would recommend renting from private owners through Airbnb – the prices are much more adequate. I have been here several times already and here are 3 reviews with photos of 3 different accommodation options in Katerina Alpika: a two-room apartment, a one-bedroom apartment for lovers and a studio with a standard set of furniture and household appliances.

Two-roomed flat

Spacious classy apartment that has a studio (living room combined with kitchen) and a separate air-conditioned bedroom. A chic balcony overlooking the complex, but a little from the side you can clearly see the mountains and the valley of the Mzymta River. We had breakfast there every morning and could not tear ourselves away from the views.

The apartment is equipped with everything you might need, including a washing machine and a good coffee maker. The furniture is of high quality, not deshmanskaya, not ushatannaya. There were only pleasant impressions from the accommodation and the hostess, in general there were no problems during the check-in and check-out.

To be honest, I cherish the hope one day to come here for a month (to this or a similar apartment) and live there. It was after this time, there was such a desire. There were even thoughts to buy an apartment, but the price tag in Katerina Alpik bites very much.

Nest for lovers in the mountains

When I got here, I walked around the apartment for half an hour with a phone, taking pictures and looking at the interior. The owners of the apartment turned out to be fans of retro, and it was literally stuffed with cute and cute objects and decor elements. Eyes just ran – in every corner something stood, hung or lay, as in some museum of the 17th century.

People have amazing attention to detail. I would not want to live in such an interior for a long time, but as an experience, it is interesting to live a week on vacation. Now, however, I look at the photos in Airbnb – they have simplified the interior, and it is no longer quite the same as in the pictures. Although, probably, it is for the best, because any objects collect dust. The main thing is that the main motive remained.

Studio with bed and sofa

For some reason, I can’t find a link to the exact apartment I shot, but it was a studio with a bed and a sofa. To be honest, looking through these studios in that Katerina Alpika building, I noticed that in general they are very similar to each other. Compact in size, equipped with simple furniture, and some kind of stripped-down set of household items in the kitchen, including a mini-fridge. You just need to look for one where the price tag is not broken and the reviews are good.

Entrance is carried out in two places adjacent to the main road, without barriers. Parking is possible near each building along the road and in parking pockets. Parking is free.

The complex is not guarded in any way, and this is a minus, given that there is no fence either, but everyone who lives there calmly lets the children go outside for a walk. In the summer, a whole company gathers there, as they come at once for several months.

The SPA area is usually closed in summer and is only available in winter. In general, I noticed that in the summer many apartments there are empty, and in the winter at the peak of the season everything is packed. Keep this in mind when you book.

There is a large selection of hotels on Yandex.Travel or Ostrovka. They have the same prices, they are similar to Booking, the choice is large. And most importantly, Russian cards are accepted.
