The head of the Voronezh region Alexander Gusev invited the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to the opening of a mega-school being built on Moskovsky Prospekt in the regional center, the press service of the regional government reported on Thursday, April 28. This became known during a working meeting of the Voronezh delegation headed by the governor and the President of Belarus, which took place in a friendly country.

The largest school in the country in Voronezh is being built by Belarusian contractors. Its construction began in autumn 2021. 150-160 people work at the facility, monolithic work is carried out seven days a week. The construction of the institution should be completed in August 2023.

BelTA writes that Governor Alexander Gusev noted that the Voronezh region has already had a successful experience of cooperation with Belarusian builders. We are talking about a new school for 520 students, built by Belarusian specialists in the village of Strelitz, Semiluk district. It opened last year. Now, in addition to the mega-school, Belarusian contractors are building another educational institution and a stadium in the region.

– This is a good example of how to build relationships. The Belarusian side is not just a general contractor who has hired our Voronezh subcontractors and is building. And these are Belarusian engineers, builders, and a lot of Belarusian materials, equipment, including educational, technological. And we do not restrict the use of such equipment in any way,” BelTA quoted Alexander Gusev as saying.

The area of ​​the future school is 60 thousand square meters. m. At the same time, 2860 children will be able to study in it. There will be art workshops, an astronomical tower, laboratories for educational experiments and a biological pond. The school on Moskovsky Prospekt is being built according to a unique project. There are several separate educational blocks in such areas as Science, Society, Technology and IT, Art, Sport.

Students will have the opportunity to study in an art workshop, a choreography studio, develop school television and watch the stars in the planetarium and astronomical tower. A developed sports infrastructure will be created: a football field, running tracks, a playground for sports games, a sector for throwing a ball and jumping, universal grounds for general physical training and passing the TRP. The school territory, which is not part of the sports core, is designed taking into account the functional purpose of each zone for children of different ages.

Recall that at the Minsk meeting the parties discussed industrial cooperation, cooperation in the fields of agriculture and construction, modernization of transport infrastructure, and mutual trade.

Earlier, Mayor Vadim Kstenin said that the excavation and preparatory work for the construction of the mega-school building was completed as planned. The same work was carried out for the block of locker rooms.
