A little more than a month remains before the start of the first European games – it's time to figure out what it is.

What is it

European games – In fact, this is an analogue of the Olympic Games, limited by European countries. At the moment, these are 49 countries.

This year we have the honor to see this format for the first time. The debut will be held in Baku (Azerbaijan). The decision to choose the city was made on December 8, 2012 by the European Olympic Committee in Rome. It should be noted that the competition of cities is still small, and, more precisely, Baku was the only candinat.

Games will be held with 12 to 28 June 2015.

Kinds of sports

In total, the program has 20 sports. From water are included swimming, jumping water, water polo, synchronous swimming. Initially, in 2012 it was only known about 13 disciplines, water species were added only at the end of 2013.
