The channel was created on behalf of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev by the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Sports and Physical Culture, together with the Ministry of Culture and Information.

The new sports channel has become part of the Kazakhstan RTRK television holding, which unites Kazakhstan, Madenit, Balapan and another 14 regional channels. This will allow KazSSPort to make direct broadcasts from all regions of Kazakhstan. Also, the new TV channel will be Available in the National TV broadcasting system Otau TV and programs of cable operators.

70% of the air KazSPORT will be the broadcasts of sports competitions, including the broadcasts of Kazakhstan championships on key and popular sports and direct broadcasts of large foreign sports competitions. 20% of the broadcasting volume of KazSPORT will be the news and programs of their own production, 10% – documentary sports films, BNews.kz reports with reference to the Republican television and radio corporation Kazakhstan.

The leadership of the channel plans to attract famous Kazakh sports journalists who will conduct programs in Kazakh and Russian.
