TV channel NASH: The National Council will conduct an inspection because of a guest from the LPR

The National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting will arrange an unscheduled inspection of the NASH TV channel. The official reason is “retransmission of Russian propaganda”.
This was reported in the press service of the council.
According to information, on December 4, the show “Friday. Evening” was attended by the representative of the “LPR” in the political subgroup of the TCG Rodion Miroshnik via Internet connection. He tried to justify the actions of illegal military formations on the territory of ORDLO.
In addition, Miroshnik accused Ukraine of failing to comply with the Minsk agreements and of “shelling” the occupied territories. According to him, Russia is not a party to the conflict in Donbas. He also called into question the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the inviolability of its borders.
– Miroshnyk’s statements, circulated on the TV channel, do not meet the criterion of objectivity regarding information, have signs of inciting hatred, promoting terrorism and are a direct relay to the Ukrainian audience of one of the main propaganda narratives of the official government of the Russian Federation about the civil war allegedly unleashed by Ukraine on the territory of certain regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, about the non-involvement of the Russian Federation and its armed formations in this, – said in the National Council.
The regulator also noted that neither the presenters nor the TV company responded to the statements. After that, OUR repeated the broadcast on December 6.
– Distribution of a broadcast in repetition requires the TV and radio organization to check the reliability and objectivity of the information being distributed and imposes additional responsibility on the licensee.
However, the re-broadcast of the program “Friday. Evening with the participation of Rodion Miroshnik took place on the NASH TV channel without changes or editorial moderation– added the National Council.
It is reported that an unscheduled inspection is scheduled for the period from December 24 to January 15.
Network reaction
Maxim Nazarov, a journalist from the NASH TV channel, immediately reacted to this scandalous situation.
According to him, every guest of the program should have the right to speak. It is noteworthy that the journalist corrected Miroshnik when he questioned the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
– We titrated Rodion Miroshnik as a member of the political subgroup of the TCG from the other side, from Luhansk. The National Council writes about Russian narratives and propaganda, which the hosts allegedly did not resist – this is not true. When he said that LNR/DNR is not the territory of Ukraine, we objected, because it is the territory of Ukraine.
We were not silent and made comments to him. The National Council, of course, did not see this.But the facts speak of something else. And now there will be another audit of the national council, – said Nazarov Media.
In addition, the presenter added that “ours” did not violate the law, inviting the representative of the “LPR”. He regarded the actions of the National Council as pressure on freedom of speech.
– Rodion Miroshnik is not a terrorist, he officially, according to Ukrainian law, does not represent a terrorist organization. The politicians have their own messages that they use constantly, and for some reason someone decided that journalists should also follow these messages. No, it won't. Independent journalism works differently.
We give the opportunity to speak out to all parties. Miroshnik is a member of the TKG, with whom Leonid Kravchuk, Denis Kazan and other members of the Ukrainian delegation is promised. Why can they, but independent journalists cannot? Is this not an encroachment for freedom of speech? The answer is obvious. The pressure on freedom of speech in the best traditions of Petro Poroshenko now continues with Zelensky. Many Ukrainian media and even politicians stood up for the TV channel, one of which was a People’s Deputy from the “servant of the people” Maxim Buzhansky.
– I did not watch this broadcast, I have no idea who this character is, because of which Irina Gerashchenko howls, I don’t know what he said there. But I don't care what he said. My opinion does not change from what they say with my opinion, or the separatists who disagree with it, or the citizens of the Russian Federation who disagree with it. According to Buzhansky, he does not need to prove to anyone that Crimea and Donbass are Ukraine, so it does not enter into any disputes.
