What is Google Play Pass. Subscribe or not?

On September 23, 2019, Google introduced a subscription service for Android OS – Google Play Pass. Previously, the service was available only to residents of America, but now we have the opportunity to use Play Pass. Play Pass will be available to users of Android devices with version 4.4 and higher.

Google Play Pass is a collection of over 300 apps and games without ads, in-app purchases or pre-payments. But that's not all. The company promised to replenish the service with fresh content every month.

In addition to the fact that subscribers can install any applications and games on their devices, they can share the subscription with their family (up to five people).

Why should/shouldn't I subscribe to Google Play Pass?

Subscription Pros:

• You'll have access to tons of apps and games, with no ads or in-app purchases.
• You will be able to share selected games and applications with your family members.

Cons of a subscription:

• The applications and games in the service cannot be called exclusive, most of them have been sold before.
• It is not known how many new applications and games will be added, and whether they can be removed.
• You pay for a subscription, even if you haven't used the Play Pass at all or tried just a couple of games and apps.
• If you suddenly decide to unsubscribe from Play Pass, you will lose access to all previously downloaded games and applications.

What is the price?

For many, this is the most important question. If you hurry and buy a subscription now, you can save well. Now the cost of subscription is 1339 rubles a year.

How to connect?

In order to connect Play Pass, Open Google Play and select the appropriate item in the application menu. Then click the button to start work.

Is it profitable?

If you spend more on applications, games and in -game purchases than the Google Play Pass subscription is worth it, then it is definitely worth it. Once again, I remind you that if you first buy a subscription, and then unsubscribe from it, you will lose access to all games and applications downloaded from the service.

You can try a simple strategy used by experienced users for subscriptions on cinema sites. They sign not for a year, but for a month or two, and calmly watch all sorts of shows, films and cartoons during this time.

The only thing is that such a strategy is good for games, but not for applications, because the latter may be needed throughout the year, and not just for one or two months.

Summing up, it became clear to me that most users of Android devices better buy applications and games directly, especially since they can use them without time limits.
