2) If Dead Island Riptide twitches, freezes or slows down, then you need to update the drivers for the video card (see the left column of the site for links), and also lower the graphics settings. First, at a minimum, and then gradually increase and look at performance.

3) If the game does not start at all, then you need to update DirectX.
4) You can remove splash screens by adding the launch parameter
